It’s great to see new faces, places…
change but faces never will.
When you climb the stairs and look
at the stars you can see that
faces aren’t just here on earth.
There’s some who’ve landed
with no clamour of newsmen and
white flashing bulbs but with
the calm of a feather floating
down from a circling albatross.
Faces just blank and expressionless
are like a corpse in state, wait…
-ing to be hidden forever.
There’s so much below,
there’s so much to show, and
every now and again a glint in
the eye, a twitch of the nose
give you away, the fact that
under the plastic wrapper
lies a living human being.
Despite the pressure, the ten
megaton weight of societies long
lost conscience, there remains
a glimmer of hope. To cope.
the key is laughter, to laugh,
the key is hope!
