And as I walked, beside myself
I didn’t know what time of day it was,
and as I talked, beside myself
I didn’t even know the meaning of
your love for me, an apple tree,
a part of me, is you for me and me for you…And as I look, into your eyes
I see in them, your life unfolding
it’s full of simple things, of boys and swings
and dolls and proms and puppet strings,
and later on, you’re in life’s race,
the hurt and pain is in your face…And as we float, among the clouds,
we’re passing over, through and into so much
trouble, pain, fear and sorrow, follow me
and you, we’re going through, to find anew,
a peaceful world where Skye is blue and
people true, the future new…We’re older now, we’ve had our fun,
we two are one and one and one is two,
but times have changed, the children play,
and each and every day their life’s a search
for toys and swings, the simple things,
the puppet strings that made our life so true…And as I sing, I know it’s true,
that I love you and you love me, forever
helping me, (and) sheltering me and making all
the good times glad, the bad times good,
and now I know the meaning of your love for me,
an apple tree, is part of me and me for you and
you for me, and me for you and you for me…
…Skye Blue…
