The Reckoning of An Individual
I sit in my chair, I haven’t a care, it doesn’t seem fair, for there… to be no troubles inside me
I sit in my chair
I haven’t a care
It doesn’t seem fair
For there…
to be no troubles inside me
I think its now time
for me not to climb
to unassailable heights;
but accept the fights
as part of the life I live
To try to reach
the disappearing beach
beyond the horizon
of ones own desert
is but to waste
the time which elsewhere
could be used to
help the poor,
see life in the raw,
accept the law,
and not to paw,
at the insignificant things
to which man clings
which give him a reason
for living for no reason
I sit in my chair
I haven’t a care
It doesn’t seem fair
For there…
to be no troubles inside me
